The Wuxi Art Museum was formerly known as the Wuxi Calligraphy and Painting Academy. The art museum has functions such as holding exhibitions, conducting academic research, collecting fine art works, conducting aesthetic education, and promoting cultural and artistic exchanges and services. The exhibition hall on the first floor is open to the public free of charge all year round. The exhibition hall on the second floor holds themed exhibitions in conjunction with major festivals and celebrations of the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government, and is open to the public free of charge during the exhibition period. The classrooms on the fourth floor offer calligraphy and painting art training courses on Saturdays, Sundays, winter and summer vacations, and hold calligraphy and painting art lectures from time to time. The internal institutions of the art museum include the exhibition department, the creative research department, the collection and storage department, the public education department, and the administrative office. Opening hours: From January 1st to September 14th, closed all day on Mondays; from January 1st to September 14th, open from 09:00 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday; from September 15th to September 16th, open from 09:00 to 17:00 on Mondays and Sundays; from September 17th to December 31st, closed all day on Mondays; from September 17th to December 31st, open from 09:00 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday. Closed on Mondays (except legal holidays). The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on the day.
