Standing atop Xishan Mountain for over 400 years, Longguang Pagoda is the crowning glory of Wuxi’s scenery and has long been a symbol of the city.
The ancient pagoda has undergone several major renovations and no longer retains its Ming Dynasty appearance. Majestic in stature, it stands among lush greenery, adjacent to the newly opened Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, displaying its graceful charm. Now, it has become an ideal spot for both domestic and international tourists to climb and enjoy the view.

Visitors ascending the ancient pagoda can look around the corridors and have a panoramic view of the entire city of Wuxi. The new canal, resembling a silver dragon, meanders from north to south beneath the pagoda. The unceasing flow of ships in the canal and the rapid movement of vehicles on the bridge create an interwoven spectacle that is dazzling to the eyes.

Gazing into the distance, the ancient Liangxi River stretches like a jade chain towards the vast Taihu Lake, with square fish ponds reflecting like mirrors along both banks, stretching for tens of miles. To the west, the undulating terrain of Jiulong Mountain, like green waves, culminates in a television tower that reaches for the sky, echoing with the ancient pagoda, making Longguang Pagoda an excellent vantage point to appreciate the features of Wuxi.

During the hot summer and festival nights, the pagoda is adorned with colorful lights, resembling a pearl tower suspended in the sky, adding endless reverie. The opening hours are subject to the specific operating status on the day.
