The UCCA Ceramic Art Museum covers a total construction area of 2400 square meters. Its design is inspired by the flying dragon vault of the Qianshu Long Kiln, with the external arched entrance resembling the ‘scale eye holes’ on both sides of the dragon kiln’s celestial ridge beam.
The museum’s design is distinctive, making extensive use of specially made ceramic slabs. After high-temperature firing, the surface develops subtle concave-convex textures and color gradients, presenting a unique ‘kiln change’ effect. This design not only pays homage to the local ceramic culture but also showcases the innovative nature of modern architecture. Inside, the museum features a flexible multi-exhibition hall layout to accommodate exhibitions of various scales and types. It includes an independent multi-function hall, lecture hall, meeting rooms, art shop, café, and leisure area, providing visitors with a comprehensive art experience. Opening hours: The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and closed all day on Mondays throughout the year.UCCA Ceramic Art Museum
