Worship Square, covering an area of 13,300 square meters, features a large central sculpture depicting characters such as ‘Guo Jian Guang’ and ‘A Qing Sao’, vividly revealing the profound bond between the military and civilians. The 18 column sculptures, symbolizing the wounded soldiers of the New Fourth Army, showcase their unyielding revolutionary spirit with diverse block shapes and strong textural effects. Two bronze reliefs further interpret and deepen the theme of the deep bond with delicate and vivid compositions and rich character portrayals.
On the west side of Worship Square is the Shajia Hong Revolutionary History Memorial Hall, with a construction area of 1,860 square meters, displaying over 400 historical photos of Shajia Hong’s revolutionary struggle, more than 60 revolutionary artifacts, and over 200 photos of the achievements of Changshu City’s dual support. The exhibition is enhanced with modern multimedia boxes, scene restoration, and granite reliefs, combining dynamics with statics, two-dimensional with three-dimensional, and art with science to enhance the educational impact.
On the east side of Worship Square lies a lush green activity square, providing visitors with a space for outdoor activities or event organization. Opening hours from April 1st to October 31st are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and from November 1st to March 31st of the following year are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
