Lingyan Peony Garden is situated at the southern foot of Lingyan Mountain in the southwest of Suzhou city. Here, pavilions, towers, and bamboo streams create a serene atmosphere. On the winding paths, pots of peonies are displayed, with large, colorful, and fragrant flowers. The regal peonies harmoniously blend with the natural landscape of Lingyan Mountain.
Currently, Lingyan Peony Garden houses over 11,000 peonies of nearly 200 varieties, including precious ones such as Yao Huang, Ge Jin, Yu Ban Bai, Hua Wang, and Dao Jin. The natural blooming period of peonies is from late March to early June. With advanced technology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Botanical Research Institute, the garden enables peonies to bloom out of season, allowing visitors to enjoy over 1300 varieties in more than 4000 pots during the Spring Festival.
Opening hours are from January 1st to December 31st, 08:00 to 17:00.
