St. John’s Christian Church was originally established in the seventh year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1861), formerly known as the ‘Suzhou East Methodist Church’. The church complex, including its annexes, covers an area of approximately 2500 square meters. The style is purely Western, constructed with blue bricks, and the three-story section stands out for its grandeur. The interior decoration is simple yet elegant.
