The original structure on the west side was shaded by an ancient maple tree, and the pavilion was named after the Ming Dynasty’s Gao Qi’s sunflower poem: ‘In the splendid red light, it blooms; next to the green shade, it stands.’ The building resembles a pavilion, constructed with hard mountain style, built by the water, and had already existed during the Liu’s Hanbi Manor period. On the courtyard wall to the south of the pavilion, there is a stone plaque inscribed with the words ‘Flower Path Small Mansion’ written by Qian Daxin. The pavilion is open all year round from 07:30 to 17:00; for specific opening times, please consult the scenic area.
