Huaqiao International Expo Center is a key functional project in Huaqiao International Business City, adopting an operation model that combines exhibitions with conferences, and vice versa, to promote each other’s development. Its development positioning is to leverage Shanghai’s leadership, complement Suzhou’s functions, and coordinate with Kunshan’s industries. It is a multifunctional integrated service area that integrates exhibitions, trade, commerce, office, and conferences. The center aims to form a service system including exhibition halls, technology, advertising, business, and property, striving to become a sub-center of the Shanghai Hongqiao National Convention and Exhibition Center and an influential convention industry cluster in the East China region.
Huaqiao International Expo Center covers a total area of 215,000 square meters with a construction area of 124,000 square meters, and an actual available exhibition and negotiation area of 100,000 square meters. It mainly consists of seven exhibition halls, each 10,000 square meters, and a negotiation area of 30,000 square meters, which can accommodate nearly 3,500 international standard booths. The exhibition center has a 4,300 square meter meeting area, including a multifunctional conference hall that can hold up to 500 people and nine medium and small conference rooms that can hold 10 to 200 people each.
As an important international convention and exhibition center in the Yangtze River Delta region based on the gateway to Shanghai, Huaqiao International Expo Center will surely become an emerging force serving the convention economy of Shanghai, the Yangtze River Delta, and even domestic and international markets, thanks to its unique strategic radiating geographical advantages and modern convention facilities and functional advantages.
