Baoyan Zen Temple, originally named Yanfu Zen Court, was first established during the Tianjian era of the Southern Dynasties’ Liang period, with a history of more than 1500 years. Throughout the Southern Song Dynasty and the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties, the temple was repeatedly built and destroyed, and later it was rebuilt by the temple monk Tan Yue, with the halls and buildings being restored to their former glory. During the Cultural Revolution, the temple was demolished. It is open from January 1st to December 31st, from 08:00 to 16:00.
