Bao Shou Temple is located in the eastern part of Ducun Town, Wu Zhong District, Suzhou City, at the junction of Cailian Village and Liuwan Village near Taihu Lake. It was built in the seventh year of the Tang Dynasty, which corresponds to the year 856. The temple site is approximately 200 meters long from east to west and about 100 meters long from north to south. It is connected by a canal on the east, west, and north sides. It is said that during the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Qianlong once visited Bao Shou Temple, which was home to over five hundred monks at the time, and the temple was known for its thriving incense.
