Chengbei Wetland Park is distinguished by its wetland features, making full use of the existing small rivers and streams within the Chengbei River and protective forest. By excavating artificial waterways, the park not only connects these waterways but also significantly increases the water surface area.
The artificial waterways meander through the forest, connecting with the Chengbei River, ensuring a continuous flow of water. Various aquatic plants are cultivated along the river and its banks, creating a wetland landscape where citizens can enjoy the riverbank and move between the two sides of the river by stepping on stones or crossing suspension bridges.
Another prominent feature of Chengbei Wetland Park is its lush greenery. The park’s construction made good use of the existing metasequoia forest land, with minor adjustments to highlight the natural charm, saving construction costs while showcasing the beauty of nature. During construction, excavated soil was used to improve the existing terrain, and a large number of flowers, grasses, and trees were planted on open land to further enrich the landscape.
