In the western suburbs of Yangzhou, there is a forest park. Inside the park, there is Baiyang Mountain. Yizheng City has utilized the inherent topography and natural vegetation of Baiyang Mountain. Combining future greening construction and planning changes, it has been built into a comprehensive forest park integrating leisure and sightseeing, amusement and fitness, ecology, popular science education, and religious culture. The entire park is divided into four different areas in terms of functional structure, namely the central forest leisure area, the amusement activity area in the northeast, the hunting area in the southwest, and the ecological protection area in the southeast. The Bailong Temple is located in the Yangzhou Western Suburb Forest Park (Baiyang Mountain, Liuji Town, Yizheng City). It was first built during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. The original temple was demolished during the destruction of the ‘Four Olds’ during the Cultural Revolution in the last century. In 1984, Master Wenren rebuilt it through soliciting donations from all directions. Covering an area of more than 30 mu, the main hall, east and west side halls, and dormitories have now been completed. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
