The Former Capital Hotel Site is located in Gulou District, Nanjing City. The site comprises two main buildings, namely the West Building and the East Building.
The West Building was constructed in 1932 and designed by Tong Yu from the Huagai Architectural Firm. It was jointly built by Dahua Foji Construction Company and Chengji Construction Factory, and was completed in 1933. The building faces north and is a steel-concrete structure with a Western style.
