Sanyuan Cave, also known as Sanguan Cave. It is the largest of the five natural stone caves in Caishiji. It has always been one of the natural scenic spots in the south of the Yangtze River. There are two reasons for its name. Firstly, according to historical records, during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, the monk Dingru was traveling. He was attracted by the secluded and refined scenery here. Then he led the monks to enshrine the gods of heaven, earth and water here, thus it was named Sanyuan Cave. Secondly, according to folk legends, three scholars from Hunan were on a boat to take the imperial examination in Beijing. When passing by Caishiji, they suddenly encountered a violent storm. Fortunately, with the blessing of the immortals, they were able to turn danger into safety. Later, all three were nominated on the gold list and served as officials in different places. To repay the kindness of the immortals for saving their lives, they donated money to build a building in the cave and renamed it Sanguan Cave. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:30 to 17:00. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
