Lu Xiaobo’s former residence is a traditional Qing Dynasty residential building, facing south and arranged in five progressive courtyards along the central axis, with living wings attached to the north. The first and second courtyards are single-story buildings, with the main entrance located on the east side of the first courtyard. The second courtyard features an exquisitely carved brick pattern of the Eight Immortals Celebrating Longevity above the door.
The third courtyard is equipped with a covered corridor, forming a matching hall, and there is a corridor-style semi-kiosk within the courtyard. The fourth courtyard is a two-story building with carved railings, which served as Lu Xiaobo’s living quarters, consisting of three rooms and two side rooms on both floors, forming a ‘concave’ shape. The residence collects and displays hundreds of valuable historical materials and artifacts, showcasing various aspects of Mr. Lu Xiaobo’s hardworking and entrepreneurial life. The opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-11:30 and 13:30-16:30 all year round; the museum is closed all day on Mondays.Must Read
