Nanjing No.1 Middle School was originally established in 1907 and was known as ‘Chongwen School’ in its early years. The school is located on the site of the former Jiangning Prefecture Government’s arrow path and the Western Garden during the Qing Dynasty.
Over the course of 116 years of education, the school has adhered to its motto of ‘seeking truth’, courageously taken on social responsibilities, and cultivated tens of thousands of students.
