Located at No. 77, Sì Tiáo Xiàng, Qinhuai District, Nanjing, Li Hongzhang’s Ancestral Hall was originally built during the Qing Dynasty. It is the ancestral hall of Li Hongzhang, a late Qing dynasty minister and the leader of the Self-Strengthening Movement, commonly referred to as Li Gong Ci. In 1992, it was designated as a cultural relic protection unit by Nanjing City.
The Ancestral Hall covers an area of approximately 8120 square meters. The entire architectural complex faces north and is divided into two sections: east and west. The eastern section is the hall itself, consisting of five consecutive sections with side rooms on both sides, 24 main rooms, 24 side rooms, and one imperial stele; the western section includes residences and a garden, complete with fish ponds, pavilions, buildings, and winding corridors. It is open to the public from 08:00 to 17:00 all year round.Li Hongzhang’s Ancestral Hall
