Surrounded by water on all four sides, Yi Lan Pavilion features stone railings encircling it, with eight endearing stone lions sitting on the railings. Two small stone-arched bridges connect the pavilion to the shore. The pavilion’s roof corners are adorned with flying eaves, and the ridge of the roof has a ceramic gourd bottle in the center, rumored to be a water container used as a fire-preventing treasure. Also known as ‘Yi Lan Hall’ or ‘Duality of the People and Water Pavilion’. In ancient times, water was used as a ‘mirror’, symbolizing the saying ‘water can carry a boat, but it can also capsize it’. The opening hours and business status are subject to the actual conditions on the day.
