Fu Yaocheng’s Former Residence is located in Dayoufang Lane, Qinhuai District, a rare well-preserved remnant of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom’s official buildings in Nanjing. In the second year of the Tongzhi era (1863), Taiping Heavenly Kingdom general and bodyguard Fu Yaocheng purchased this house. The existing structure consists of two courtyards; the eastern courtyard has two sections, and the western courtyard has three sections, with the third section being a two-story building featuring wooden carved railings, beams, and other decorative wooden components. This is a typical Jiangnan residential style architecture.
