Fengyou Temple is located in Qinhuai District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. It is said that the Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai once visited this place and composed the poem ‘Phoenixes roam on the Phoenix Terrace, when the phoenixes depart, the river still flows.’ The temple was built during the Ming Dynasty and was named after this poem, hence the name Fengyou Temple.
