Caochangmen Gate was one of the newly constructed city walls during the late Qing Dynasty to meet transportation needs, located on the western section of the Nanjing city walls. At that time, the gate featured a single-arch structure, approximately 20 meters deep and 6 meters wide. It was demolished in 1954. Today, Caochangmen is merely a place name, with the Nanjing Art Institute and Jiangsu Education Institute nearby.
