Anhui University of Engineering is a multidisciplinary provincial university primarily focused on engineering, and it is a key construction university in Anhui Province. It is one of the first pilot universities for comprehensive reform in Anhui’s colleges and universities, a directorate member of the UNESCO China Entrepreneurship Education Alliance, a member of the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Association for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education, and a member of the Chinese University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Alliance. The university was selected for the Ministry of Education’s New Engineering Research and Practice Project.
In 2010, the university was renamed Anhui University of Engineering. By August 2018, the university’s campus covered an area of over 1700 acres, with a total building area of more than 500,000 square meters and a total value of teaching and research equipment of 280 million yuan. It has 13 secondary colleges and offers 70 undergraduate programs. It possesses 24 academic degree secondary disciplines, 4 master’s professional degree authorization categories, and 5 master’s professional degree authorization fields.
