On May 24, 1998, the Ming City Wall History Museum in Nanjing City was officially established, sharing the responsibility of maintaining and protecting the Nanjing City Wall with the City Wall Management Office, each with its own focus. The museum is located in the scenic section of Taicheng along the Nanjing City Wall. It is a specialized historical museum that collects, displays, and researches the Nanjing City Wall. The museum’s rich cultural connotations, combined with the natural scenery of mountains, water, city, and forests, form the distinctive features of the Ming City Wall History Museum. Open all year round from 8:30 to 17:30.
