Zhang Zuolin’s Villa is located in the core area of the Xingcheng Railway Sanatorium North Court, integrating the layout of the East and the charm of Western Europe into a small architectural complex, exquisite and delicate. This villa was built in the 1920s, with a total construction area of over 2000 square meters and an area of over 5000 square meters. It is a small architectural complex facing south and backing north, built around a large hot spring.
It features a lobby, front hall, and back hall with three levels of courtyards. Zhang Zuolin, being preoccupied with warfare, never lived in this villa. However, on the day of the villa’s groundbreaking, his fifth concubine made a special trip to Xingcheng to visit the villa. After the villa was completed, General Zhang Xueliang once rested here with Zhao Yidi, and personally planted two tiger-striped pines on both sides of the villa, one of which still exists today. Opening hours are from 8:30 to 16:30 all year round. Preferential policies: Children under 1 meter tall enter for free, and seniors aged 60 and above (inclusive) can enter at half price with a senior citizen card or ID card.Zhang Zuolin’s Villa: A Blend of Eastern and Western Architecture in Xingcheng
