The term ‘Exhibition of International Architecture’ does not refer to a single building but rather to the diverse blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles found on Gulangyu Island. These architectural groups, collectively known as the Exhibition of International Architecture, represent the essence of Sino-Western cultural exchange on Gulangyu Island.
Among these structures, one can find traditional Chinese temples with upturned eaves and corners, courtyard houses in the Minnan style, the eclectic Bagua Building, delicate Japanese houses, the original national consulates in 19th-century European style, and the Shuzhuang Garden, which is considered a masterpiece of classical Jiangnan gardens.
Opening times: The site is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
