Liaoning Gymnasium is a key component of the planned Liaoning Provincial Sports Training Center, designated as Zone A, the competition and training complex. It covers an area of 82,500 square meters, with a total building area of approximately 67,981 square meters.
The venue consists of a main hall and an auxiliary hall. The main hall can accommodate approximately 11,999 spectators, serving as a replacement for the original Liaoning Gymnasium, with a floor area of about 3,871 square meters. The auxiliary hall is used for training in table tennis, badminton, basketball, and volleyball.
