Beijing Gaobeidian International Folk Tourism and Cultural Village

Beijing Gaobeidian International Folk Tourism and Cultural Village is an ancient village with a thousand-year history, located in the Chaoyang District to the northeast of Beijing. It was once the junction of the ancient canal and a compulsory waterway for grain transport fleets. The village features a world-renowned antique furniture street and a water town tea house cultural street. This street is lined with antique shops selling Ming and Qing dynasty furniture, stretching 1500 meters with over 300 merchants.

As you walk down the antique furniture street, you will see rows of shops with traditional facades, rustic shop signs, and gray-white buildings. Through the antique doors and windows, you can view a variety of exquisite furniture pieces. The deeper you go into the street, the more you can feel the charm of the antique furniture street, where you can find old furniture, new concept furniture made from old wood, decorative items, and ceramics.

During the Liao and Jin dynasties, Gaobeidian Village was once a prosperous canal port and a distribution center for imperial grain and goods. However, times have changed, and the distribution center no longer exists. Traditional folk culture, including stilt walking, diabolo spinning, lantern making, yangko dancing, and waist drum beating, has become the calling card of Gaobeidian Village.

Opening Hours: Open all year round, 24/7.
