Fuchengmen, once one of the nine gates of old Beijing, was specifically used for coal transport carts coming from Mentougou Jia Tang to Beijing. The gate has long been demolished, and in its place, an overpass has been constructed. However, in a small garden on the northeast corner of the overpass, several antique sculptures stand, narrating the bygone vicissitudes of Fuchengmen.
