The China Sports Museum is located on Anding Road in Beijing. It is at the southeast corner of the National Olympic Sports Center. The entire building spreads out in an octagonal fan shape and rises spirally, symbolizing the development of China’s sports cause.
On September 22, 1990, the China Sports Museum officially opened. After a long gestation period of ten years, from the formulation of plans by the State Sports General Administration to implementation, the entire process has received the support of the country and the attention of IOC President Samaranch.
