Introduction: Fengning Bashang Grassland is located in the northwest of Fengning County, Hebei Province. Centered around Data Town, it is close to Provincial Road S244 and very close to downtown Beijing.
The water in the depressions here is clear, the grass is shoulder-high, cattle and sheep are in groups, and the ecological environment is excellent. Due to early development, various supporting facilities are relatively complete.
Between July and August every year, when Beijing is still in the sweltering sauna days, the grassland temperature is only about 18-20 degrees Celsius. At this time, the scenery is beautiful and it is very suitable for traveling here.
There are not only the charming grassland scenery of “The sky is vast, the wild is boundless, and when the wind blows, the grass bends low and cattle and sheep appear”, but also a rich variety of entertainment activities, such as horseback riding, driving off-road motorcycles, attending bonfire parties, enjoying ethnic song and dance and equestrian shows, and so on.
However, if you come in winter, some amusement facilities may be closed and the scenery is not as beautiful as in summer and autumn.
Due to the inconvenient transportation on the grassland, basically people who come here choose self-driving. It is 250 kilometers from Chengde and 280 kilometers south from Beijing. It can be reached in about 4-5 hours by car. Driving along the road, the scenery on both sides is unique. Wherever you go, there is a scenic spot.You can look up at the clear blue sky, admire the changing white clouds, embrace the green grassland, pick various wildflowers everywhere, sing loudly, or pose in different ways, or take snapshots, relax your mood and breathe in the fresh air to your heart’s content.
