Yuqing Road, spanning 768 meters in length, is free from the disturbance of buses. For the most part, this road is sparsely populated by pedestrians, offering a tranquil experience. Lined with rows of Plane trees, the quiet streets are adorned with houses in a Southern European style, featuring red-tiled roofs and spiral columns on either side of the windows. Roman-style balconies are covered with lush ivy, exuding an air of old-world European elegance and romance, reminiscent of the hometown of Romeo and Juliet.

Originally named Aitang Road after a former French Consul in Shanghai, Yuqing Road is now home to the Yuqing Road No. 190 Residence, built in 1936 and currently used by the Shanghai Municipal Kindergarten. This modern architectural garden residence is located at the southern end of Yuqing Road. Yuqing Road is also connected to Xujiahui Park, with gardens and villages on both sides, and is in close proximity to Hengshan Park, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city.
