Zhujing Town is named after the river ‘Zhujing’. Zhujing has a dense network of rivers, convenient transportation and abundant products. The town was established in the Tang Dynasty. In the Yuan Dynasty, it was set up to be in charge of trade specifically. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the handicraft textile industry was extremely prosperous for a time.
