Shanghai’s first classical garden light show, ‘Man Ting Fang’, officially opened on February 5, 2023, during the Lunar New Year festival. The light show is set in the Shenyuan garden within the Shanghai World Expo Cultural Park, which is known for its Jiangnan garden cultural characteristics. It draws its creative background from the Chinese folk tale of the twelve flower deities, integrating traditional Chinese culture such as opera, dance, and folk music.
Interactive projection and other light technology are used to provide an immersive experience. The show presents the charm of Shanghai and carries on Chinese aesthetics, unfolding a ‘Blooming Shenyuan, Fragrance Over the Sea’ tapestry of flowers for visitors. Open all year round on Fridays to Sundays from 19:00 to 22:00; closed all day on Mondays to Thursdays.Pricing优惠政策: Children under 1 meter (not including) enter for free; those between 1 meter (including) and 1.4 meters (not including) receive a discount.
