The flood prevention wall of the Bund is commonly known as the ‘Lover’s Wall’. It is about 1,700 meters in length. In the last century, it was a popular place for couples in Shanghai to date. Today, the Lover’s Wall has been replaced by a sightseeing platform made of granite, marble and cast iron carved railings. It is built on the empty box-type structural flood prevention wall extending into the Huangpu River and has become a landmark attraction for tourists at home and abroad and citizens to enjoy the scenery of the Huangpu River and Lujiazui.

On the riverside side of the sightseeing platform, there are 32 semicircular ornamental iron railing viewing balconies, pillar-style square lamps, and 21 bowl-shaped flower beds, columnar square pavilions and hexagonal pavilions, as well as artificial marble chairs of various shapes for tourists to rest. On the west side of the sightseeing platform, there is a green belt that is evergreen all year round, becoming the green railing wall of the sightseeing platform.

It not only ensures the safety of tourists but also pleases their eyes.

Opening hours: Open all day all year round.
