Furong Cave is a cave listed as a world natural heritage protection site. It has the most types of stalactites in the world. Located on the Furong River 4 kilometers away from Jiangkou Town, Wulong County, the scenic area consists of Qikeng Cave, Shuairen Cave, Weijiangling Cave, Shuilian Cave, Furong Cave, Sifang Cave and other caves. Among them, the horizontal cave represented by Furong Cave is a great place for tourists. The approximately 2-kilometer-long cave area is divided into three parts. Area 1 mainly highlights the colorful visual impact, while Areas 2 and 3 focus on natural colors. Furong Cave has a huge space.
The main scenic spots in the cave include Golden Luan Hall, Leifeng Pagoda, Jade Pillar Supporting the Sky, Yulin Qionghua, Canine Crystal Flower, Kiss of a Thousand Years, Animal Kingdom, Underwater Dragon Palace, Giant Screen Waterfall, Stone Field Pearl, Reproductive Pillar, Coral Jade Pool and so on. In 2005, it was rated as one of the six most beautiful tourist caves in China by National Geographic Magazine.
For the protection of Furong Cave, tourists currently enter the cave in batches, with 30 people in each batch. The tour guide provides free explanations throughout the whole journey. The whole tour takes about 1.5 hours. – Active-duty military personnel can enter without a ticket by presenting their military certificates.
– Retired military personnel are also exempt from entrance fees with the appropriate preferential certificates.
