Baima Mountain Tourism Resort was established in March 2016, located in the southeastern part of Wulong, at Baima Mountain. It covers an area of approximately 478 square kilometers, governing 22 villages and the Baima Mountain Provincial Nature Reserve, with over 9,000 households and more than 32,000 people. The altitude ranges from around 180 meters to 1984 meters. The Baima Mountain Tianchi Love Story Scenic Area is situated in the southwestern part of Wulong District, Chongqing, and is an open and core scenic area within the Baima Mountain Tourism Resort.
It covers an area of 4.15 square kilometers with an average altitude of 1300 meters. The area is characterized by meandering mountains and vast sea of clouds, resembling a fairyland, with an average annual temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius. The pleasant climate has led to the creation of the renowned ‘Fairy Red’ series of organic teas, celebrated both domestically and internationally. The scenic area faces Fairy Mountain across the river, with cliffs rising a thousand feet and sheer cliffs hanging in mid-air. The millennia-old love story of the White Dragon Horse and the Lady in Blue, passed down through folklore, originates from this very place. Standing on the high cliffs of the scenic area, one can overlook the surging Ujiang River and fishermen in boats; in the distance, one can admire the Fairy Mountain’s peculiar peaks and ethereal beauty. The scenic area, carrying the love story of the White Dragon Horse and the Lady in Blue, embodies traditional Chinese culture, and aims to create China’s fifth major folk love story experience destination, establishing ‘Baima Mountain of the World’ as a national 5A-level scenic area and an internationally recognized tourist destination, thereby promoting the development of Wulong’s whole-area tourism. Focusing on the consumption needs of modern tourists, the scenic area highlights ecological, cultural, leisure, health, and entertainment tourism features, with a focus on sightseeing, marriage conferences, parent-child entertainment, sports leisure, and health vacation. Unique attractions such as the Flying Kiss, Immortal Viewing Cliff, Tribute Tea Garden, and Ba State Stone Forest, combined with modern cultural tourism features like the White Horse Fairy Street, Romantic Sky Street, modern tea garden viewing, stables, 8D cinema, True Love Hall, Love Magic Cube, and Flying Sky Bridge, form a distinctive, rich, and culturally unique tourism system. The entire scenic area is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
