The Huangshui National Forest Park is 7 kilometers wide from north to south, with an average altitude of 1500 meters. It is a tourist scenic area for ethnic Tujia minorities. The park is extremely rich in tourism resources. There are 36 scenic spots (points) such as the Tujia paradise ‘Bizika Green Palace’, the plateau pearl ‘Huangshui Lake’, the primeval forest ‘Dafengbao’, the water fairyland ‘Wanshengba’, the natural gallery ‘Youcao River’, and ‘China’s No. 1 Metasequoia mother tree’. The climate in summer is cool and it is an ideal summer resort. Here is not only a natural oxygen bar and natural air conditioner, but also a plant kingdom, a mountain delicacy base, and an animal paradise. In addition to more than 3000 common tree species in the park, there are also national rare and protected plants – China’s No. 1 Metasequoia mother tree, Taxus chinensis, Ficus hookeriana, Emmenopterys henryi, Pseudotsuga sinensis, and Adiantum pedatum. The rarely visited primeval forest area has become a paradise for more than 50 kinds of wild animals such as leopards, roe deer, and pheasants. Opening hours: Open from 8:00 to 17:00 all year round.
