Tongliang Museum is located in Bachuan Town, Tongliang County. It covers an area of 10,000 square meters and has a construction area of 7,000 square meters. With a unique shape, it is a landmark building in Tongliang. The museum houses more than 11,000 cultural relics, including 121 first-class cultural relics at the national level and 581 second-class cultural relics at the national level. Tongliang Museum has four exhibition halls, housing the historical civilization of Tongliang over the past 20,000 years. It respectively exhibits ‘Tongliang Culture’, bronze tripods, stone funerary figurines of honor guards from the Ming Dynasty, wooden plaques from the first plaque corridor in China, and Tongliang dragon lanterns, etc. ‘Tongliang Culture’ is named by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and has cultural relics from the Paleolithic Age 20,000 years ago. This batch of cultural relics includes fossilized animals and plants and stoneware products used by ancient ancestors to capture prey.
