Zhongzhou Old Street has a layout of one horizontal and eight verticals, covering half a square kilometer. It is located at the place where Ba Manzi cut off his own head to defend the city. It is currently the county seat in the Three Gorges Reservoir area that preserves its original appearance. The Three Gorges Project submerged two-thirds of Zhongzhou ancient city. The houses and facilities on Yanjiang Road, Linjiang Street, Xishan Road, and Shizi Street (southern half street) are underwater.
After relocation due to immigration and ‘clearing the reservoir’, it was rebuilt by moving eastward. The part of the block above 177 meters is left. It starts from the Yangtze River in the south and reaches Ba Wang Road in the north, and extends from Baiqiao in the east to Mingyu Creek in the west. It is named ‘Three Gorges Remaining City · Zhongzhou Old Street’. Opening hours: Open from 10:00 to 21:00 all year round.Zhongzhou Old Street
