Lianhua Palace

Lianhua Palace, also known as Tai Hang Lianhua Palace, is a Guanyin temple in Hong Kong. It is located on Lianhua Street, Tai Hang, Hong Kong Island. It has now been listed as a Grade 1 historical building in Hong Kong. Lianhua Palace is known for its unique architectural style. The front hall with double eaves and a clustered spire is octagonal and built on a platform, and then supported by pillars.


The back hall and the Guanyin statue in the latter half are built on a large stone. Coupled with the murals of dragons and phoenixes flying with traditional Chinese characteristics and fine workmanship, the architectural style has a strong Hong Kong characteristic. The movie ‘Fire Dragon’ directed by famous director Dante Lam also chose this place as a shooting location. Open all year round from 07:30 to 17:00.
