Beitou Library is located in the lush Beitou Park. The building is mainly made of wood and integrates with the surrounding park woods, just like a large tree house located deep in the forest, full of romantic atmosphere.

The library has three floors in total. The first floor is the reading hall, which is equipped with a comprehensive service desk, periodical and newspaper area, reference materials area, computer inquiry area, etc.

The second floor is the book area. Chinese and foreign books are neatly displayed on wooden low cabinet bookshelves. There are intimate reading chairs between the bookshelves, and next to them are desks. There are table lamps and sockets on the desks.

The library uses floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, with excellent lighting. If the weather is fine, go to the outdoor reading area on the balcony of each floor. Accompanied by the singing of birds and the fragrance of flowers, it is closer to nature.

The basement floor is the children’s reading room. Parents can bring their children here to spend a pleasant weekend afternoon.

The outside of the library is very suitable for tourists to take pictures. In the movie ‘Turn Left, Turn Right’, the scene where the hero and heroine meet for the first time is filmed at the fountain in front of the library.

Taking pictures inside the library requires advance application. Personal documents and photos also need to be provided. The procedures are not troublesome, but people or selfies cannot appear in the photos taken after the application is successful.

Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 17:00 on Mondays and Sundays throughout the year; Open from 08:30 to 21:00 from Tuesday to Saturday throughout the year.

Must-see tips: 1. When visiting the library, keep quiet and do not make loud noises to avoid affecting other readers. 2. Taking pictures inside the library requires application at the service desk on the first floor first. The procedures are not very troublesome, but people or selfies cannot be taken.
