The Wen’ao Patriarch Temple is a public temple in Xiwenli. There are six camps set up around the settlement to protect the people and maintain peace. The North Camp is by the Literature Road on the east side of Maguo City. The West Camp is next to the east side of the Confucius Temple. The Central Camp is next to the residential house at No. 85-12, Xiwen’ao. The East Camp is by the well at the East City Gate. The Outer Camp is on the east side of Xiaosiyuan. After renovation in the 29th year of Qianlong, in the 16th year of Jiaqing, residents Chen Wen and Chen Lao donated for renovation again. In 1963, local people Ye Shunhong and others again persuaded people to donate for renovation. In 1997, the renovation was completed again, and a grand ceremony of circumambulation, entering the fire, and installation was held.
