The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts
The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, situated within Park No. 6 in the West District of Taichung City, is a hub for art enthusiasts. It boasts a total of 24 exhibition rooms, dedicated to displaying a diverse range of art forms, including painting, sculpture, and printmaking.

Architectural Layout
The museum’s long, east-west oriented building is divided into two sections by a central sky bridge. The western section is home to the A and B type exhibition rooms, while the eastern section accommodates the C, D, E, and F type exhibition rooms. Additionally, there are several other exhibition spaces such as the Art Street, Information Transfer Station, Digital Art Ark, and Digital Creative Resource Center.
Family-Friendly Facilities
The basement level of the museum features a children’s area, an ideal spot for parents and children to engage in drawing and painting activities together.
Stele Forest Area
Adjacent to the museum, on a small hill beside the side entrance on Yingcai Road, lies a stele forest area. This area showcases 50 calligraphy masterpieces from both deceased elders and contemporary masters of the calligraphy world. These works are engraved using modern sandblasting techniques, preserving the original charm and style of the ink, making it a must-visit for any visitor.
Operating Hours and Accessibility
The museum is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The museum also offers accessibility services such as accessible parking, entrances, and restrooms.
