Dongshi Hakka Cultural Park is located in Dongshi District, Taichung City, and was redeveloped from the old Dongshi train station. Originally, it was primarily used for transporting timber from the Da Xue Shan (Snow Mountain). After the railway was discontinued, the area was abandoned. However, with the rise of Hakka ethnic consciousness, it was planned and established as a Hakka cultural park. The park mainly showcases the early industries, languages, and cultural characteristics of the Hakka people. Through the display of cultural relics in the museum, including wedding customs, clothing culture, and Hakka music, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the traditional culture and spirit of the local Hakka people. The park is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
