Shi Tou Park is located at the foot of Wenchang Tonggu Ridge, where a vast sea area features flat sands and clear waters. The shoreline and the waters are dotted with distinctive large and small stone forests. Strolling through Shi Tou Park on the gentle beach, one cannot help but be struck by the magnificent scenery described as ‘chaotic rocks piercing the sky, astonishing waves crashing against the shore, and rolling up thousands of piles of snow.’
Visiting Shi Tou Park is primarily about leisurely walks, admiring the beautiful sea views and the diverse stone formations. It is said that the rocks here emerged from the earth’s surface due to mountain-building movements tens of thousands of years ago. They have been shaped into their current unique appearance through the battering of tides and the passage of time. The rocks exhibit a myriad of forms, some resembling scallops, others like honeycombs, all vividly interesting.
The park is open all year round from 09:00 to 18:00, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening conditions. A must-see tip is that rocks wet by seawater are slippery, so it is advised not to step on them during your visit.
