Liuxia Village is a coastal ancient village with a history of over 300 years. According to records, the village has existed since the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty and is located at the foot of Guantou Ridge. The ancestors of the Suixi Mai family migrated south to Beihai. Seeing the area’s favorable geographical features with mountains and water, gentle terrain, and rich marine resources, they chose to settle at the foot of Guantou Ridge. Thus, ‘Liuxia Village’ was established, with the name ‘Liuxia’ symbolizing the intention to settle and stay in this place.
In August 2020, the residential area was designated as a national key village for rural tourism. In 2021, it was awarded as a high-star rural tourism area in Guangxi. The village is open to visitors all year round from 08:00 to 18:00.
