Cunjin Bridge is located on the west side of Chikan District. ‘The noble spirit of Cunjin’ is one of the eight scenic spots in Zhanjiang. It was built by gentry and civilians in Mazhang District, Suixi County in 1925 and renovated in 1959. After renovation, Cunjin Bridge is a single-arch stone bridge with cement pavement. It is 19 meters long and 12 meters wide. There are 18 column posts on each side. At the west end of the bridge, there is a square monument. On both sides of Cunjin Bridge are Cunjin Bridge Park. The park was built in 1958. It was originally named ‘Xishan Park’ and ‘People’s Park’. In March 1981, it was renamed. The statue of anti-French heroes stands solemnly on the spacious square at the park gate, full of righteousness and unyielding. It is the heroic image of the people of Zhanjiang. Cunjin Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit in Zhanjiang City and a patriotic education base of Zhanjiang municipal government. Open all year round and open all day.
