Beneath the waters of the southwest region of Qiandao Lake lies the famous millennia-old city, Shicheng, that has been slumbering for a thousand years. The lost historical civilization, quietly resting at the bottom of Qiandao Lake, is both mysterious and alluring. Today, we board the transformed Longchuanwan cruise ship to visit the submerged ancient city waters, combining VR technology to immerse ourselves in the exploration of the ancient city that sank 70 years ago. Despite their deep attachment to their homeland, the ancient city’s inhabitants, in response to the needs of the republic’s construction, joined the migration with a tragic yet heroic spirit, creating a grand spectacle of migration. On the return journey, we can experience the natural water maze with its surrounding islands of various sizes and the winding channels, appreciating the mountains and waters of Qiandao Lake and the millennia-old culture of the submerged ancient city.
