Longmen Mountain, located southwest of Longmen Ancient Town, is a provincial forest park. The main peak of Longmen Mountain, Xingmei Peak, stands at an elevation of 1068 meters, making it one of the higher peaks in Fuyang. Within the valley, there is a Longtan Waterfall with a drop of up to 100 meters, along with three Longtan pools situated at upper, middle, and lower levels. The mountain’s majestic terrain, rugged rocks, and secluded valleys with cascading waterfalls are a sight to behold.
Ancient poets vividly described the Longmen Mountain waterfalls with phrases such as ‘Clouds passing make the cliffs seem to move, and the stream’s roar seems like rain approaching’ and ‘Dual cliffs touch the sun’s color, and ten thousand ravines hide the thunder’s sound.’ The park is open year-round from 08:00 to 17:00.Longmen Forest Park
