Hezhu Pagoda is located within Hexi Park on Hexi Street, with the bustling Hexi Street Market to its east and a water view to its west. It is also known as the ‘Hang Gong Pagoda’ and was constructed during the Xianfeng era. The literati and scholars of that time, admiring the talents, character, and official career of the ancient sage Hang Shijun, collectively funded the construction of a stone pagoda within the Hexi Hang Li Er Gong Temple in his honor. The pagoda has now been relocated to the west side of Jiang Xianggong Temple on Hexi Street. It stands as the highest point in the Xixi Wetland, and from the top of the tower, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Xixi scenery, including the nearby reeds and the distant, faintly visible city – the Xixi landscape is all at your feet. The pagoda is open all year round and accessible at all times. For specific opening hours, please consult the scenic area.
